sorry buddy.. this happened few months back but no more works this way. it is because google also allows offline messages. so if someone is really offline (when u say red msg appears), how will they be getting our offliners?

Hey man,

There is a bug with google chat or specifically, if you use with google chat in Orkut. These chats are not saved in Gmail account and I have not been able to locate any workaround for this. Were you aware?

That's a good article! Indeed for convenience people do compromise on security. But Varun, did you know that even with best password practices, the password can still be insecure until it is at least 12 or more characters, not to mention as you already said with alphanumeric, mixed case with special characters. Did you know that with free tools available, you can "reveal" not reset but "revel" any Windows based alphanumeric password up to 9 characters in less than 10 minutes ? I wrote an article on this technique using rainbow tables and ophcrack, which does a step by step demonstration of how this can be done, if you are interested, do have a look at http://indiawebsearch.com/content/retrieve-any-alphanumeric-windows-logon-password-quickly

Hello Varun,

Your advice is very helpful. Your style is to-the-point, and easy to read. Keep it up. (I see you on MakeUseOf.)

Had a question:
I use Firefox with a lot of extensions. I use many computers where I would like to re-create my environment. I think I have over 25 extensions, and I add more on an on-going basis.
Is there a way for me to create and save a 'list or digest' or a service like Foxmarks/Xmarks so that every machine I work on will have the same extensions and theme? (So I dont have to note down the extensions and cross-check manually everytime and every computer)?

Keep it up. Thanks.
